As part of the Solid Mechanics Research Group (SMRG) at University of Bristol, this role is to deliver high quality structural integrity research between EDF and University of Bristol as part of High Temperature Centre and Prosperity Partnership Project with EDF, SINDRI.

The EDF Fellow plays a lead role in coordinating and discharging research undertaken within the High Temperature Centre (HTC) at University of Bristol.  This centre is supported by EDF and focusses on research activities in structural integrity issues pertaining to the operation of their current and future nuclear power plants.  The successful candidate will be expected to interact closely with EDF in a range of research projects and help to set the future agenda of the research portfolio between UoB and EDF in this area.
